Fr. Larry is awesome. He is funny! He is blunt-- and is not boring, nope. He will shake you up. He will shake up your kids. I think this would be a terrific prep for any teen coming upon Confirmation. He challenges us big time. Really all this faith stuff just boils down to one Truth. Are we ready to accept it?
This reminds me of the Faith and Reason teen discussion group my boys attended. The leader wasn't as blunt as Fr. Larry, but he took every question seriously and encouraged the teens to question it all. We must. Our teens must. Or how will they come to really love the faith? They can go to Mass (and get graces) and go through the motions us parents require. But how can THEY make a real connection with God?
