Crazy Texans

Oh, cometh Iceman, cometh!

Here in sultry SE Texas we see little ice-cold weather. Ironic, in that all four of us love the cold. I am very warm natured to start with, and some of my favorite memories was running in the icy Ohio winters.

Both boys love the cold.

My dh is from Long Island and loves cold, and really does not like heat.

And here we live in the semi tropics.

The weather people expected Houston to get a blast of this cold freeze that is blanketing the country's midsection this week. Problem with Houston, is just as it gets to us, the durn warm Gulf of Mexico air pushes it back north. Nothing like winds from the south in the winter. That means warm and humid days.

Well, last night it got really cold. It was Ohio-cold. We took the dogs out and enjoyed that icy brace against our faces.. so wonderful. I told the boys they better get out a lot today, as this is the last chance for bonechilling weather for a long time, as it begins to warm up tomorrow.
