I went to our big park yesterday and was all set to listen to The Spirit of Sacrifice in the Family by Fr. Groeschel while I power-walked. :)
I put my CD in my little holder I wear around my waist, put on my earphones and was set to go.
I listened for about a half mile and was really enjoying his wit and wisdom.
Then, he seemed to jump to a different subject. He just got into that, when he moved on, but I didn't see much connect to what he had just said.
Humm.. I know Fr. B is getting on in years. Maybe this was not the best CD. Humm.. I just ordered a bunch for my parish. Maybe I need to re-think this selection.
Then I heard him tell part 2 of a story I had heard during the first part of my walk...
I pulled out my CD player and saw that I as walked and bounced along the 'shuffle' function had been activated and it was shuffling the tracks! lol
My shuffled brain!

- We are all on a journey, and this blog's reason for existence is to be a place to put mine. From humble suburbian begnnings just north of Dallas to a Catholic unschooler with a passion for faith, lifelong learning, my family and dogs, here I stand before you. Welcome to my world!
Authenticity.
That would have to be my theme at present. To enjoy my family, be true to ourselves and our faith and be authentic and enthusiastic about life!
"True happiness lies in giving ourselves in love to our brothers and sisters. "

I love Dog Day Afternoons...
"What children need is not new and better curricula but access to more and more of the real world; plenty of time and space to think over their experiences, and to use fantasy and play to make meaning out of them; and advice, road maps, guidebooks, to make it easier for them to get where they want to go (not where we think they ought to go), and to find out what they want to find out."
