From My Neighbor, Ann

This tickled me!

A 45 year old woman had a heart attack and was taken to
the hospital. While on the operating table she had a near death
experience.

Seeing God she asked "Is my time up?" God said,
"No, you have another 43 years, 2 months and 8 days to live." Upon recovery, the
woman decided to stay in the hospital andhave a face-lift, liposuction, breast
implants and a tummy tuck.

She even had someone come in and change her
hair color and brighten her teeth! Since she had so much more time to live, she
figured she might as well make the most of it.

After her last operation, she was released from
the hospital. While crossing the street on her wayhome, she was killed by an
ambulance.Arriving in front of God, she demanded,

"I thought you said I had another 43 years? Why didn't
you pull me from out of the path of the ambulance?"

God replied: "I didn't recognize
you."

About Us

We are all on a journey, and this blog's reason for existence is to be a place to put mine. From humble suburbian begnnings just north of Dallas to a Catholic unschooler with a passion for faith, lifelong learning, my family and dogs, here I stand before you. Welcome to my world!
Authenticity. That would have to be my theme at present. To enjoy my family, be true to ourselves and our faith and be authentic and enthusiastic about life!

I love Dog Day Afternoons...
"What children need is not new and better curricula but access to more and more of the real world; plenty of time and space to think over their experiences, and to use fantasy and play to make meaning out of them; and advice, road maps, guidebooks, to make it easier for them to get where they want to go (not where we think they ought to go), and to find out what they want to find out."
