More Journeys

As I am writing about the journeys of life on this blog, I wanted to put up a link to a post I made on Dog Days. Click here for link

I just wrote about a current journey we are on. To me, this ties in. It is real life. It is in essense why I am homeschooling. It supercedes the 'knowledge' we find ourselves in search of, because it is about relationships and relating to each other and God.

Oh, I know there must a word for this.. English majors, help me out. My blog post is about a journey- a journey of discovering ourselves as a family, our faith.. and also a potential physical journey to another city. Wow! What is the word for that multiple meaning? Or maybe there isn't one.

But, this does put the Knowledge Party in perspective for me. Reading the condensed bio of C.S. Lewis in Dr. Markos' book, I see, too, his relationship with knowledge and his relationship with people. Lewis lacked a stable family. He in essense turned to cool, hard facts and atheism. His journey is facinating, seeing the intertwining of knowledge and relationships throughout his life. And, as Dr. Markos pointed out, Lewis was one of the first apologetics to feed the mind and heart of his readers. He knew the link and the need for both to be nourished.
