From the Flylady list:
Dear Flylady,
I'm familiar with the concept of butterflies as I'm deaf. The symbol
of deafness is a butterfly, because butterflies are deaf. It means we
don't have to listen to everyone else's criticisms, we are beautiful
as we are, and God made us all beautiful and unique. When we (deaf
people) are growing up, we feel like caterpillars, shunned and
unwanted, but when we discover our identity and accept ourselves for
who we are, we become like beautiful butterflies, admired and loved.
Thank you for sharing another perspective on butterflies - we can turn
our homes from cocoons of clutter into a beautiful garden of paradise!
