Blogs go though evolutions, don't you think?
Who is reading...
What we write about...
Why we write...
Why we stop for a while...
Today I had a chance to see some really good reasons to blog. I am going through my journal and putting everyday life and learning into my Word file, by subject... to eventually turn into high school credits.
I went back through my blog, too, as I had detailed somethings out. Oh, it was so fun to take a stroll through the blog. I saw myself rambling about life and learning.... my boys, our family and saw some really nice comments, too.
Do that sometime. Get a glass of wine or a cup of tea and go read your own blog. Bet you will love it. I am really glad I have it now. That is nice for me to hear a reason to blog *more*. Usually I feel the world and my life is telling me to do it less. :)
Just wish I had labeled everything as nicely as others (especially Leonie!) do...
Will try to start remembering....

Welcome to Our Blog!

About Us

- We are all on a journey, and this blog's reason for existence is to be a place to put mine. From humble suburbian begnnings just north of Dallas to a Catholic unschooler with a passion for faith, lifelong learning, my family and dogs, here I stand before you. Welcome to my world!
Authenticity.
That would have to be my theme at present. To enjoy my family, be true to ourselves and our faith and be authentic and enthusiastic about life!
"True happiness lies in giving ourselves in love to our brothers and sisters. "

I love Dog Day Afternoons...
"What children need is not new and better curricula but access to more and more of the real world; plenty of time and space to think over their experiences, and to use fantasy and play to make meaning out of them; and advice, road maps, guidebooks, to make it easier for them to get where they want to go (not where we think they ought to go), and to find out what they want to find out." I like your blog's new name! Very cool...BTW, I also agree - a blog can be a memory journal, in addition to a way of communicating with others. Soomething done for the family, for us, not necessarily detracting from life but adding to it. :-)
Ha ha.. did you see I changed the blog name like 5 times in two days? I had to try them out for the feel... lol
How to get the 'essence' of one's life into 3 or 4 words? Oh, gosh this blogging is just so metaphyscial!
Yes... great commments on blogging. I admit I have been the gamit.. of ready to quit, feeling it is robbing me of time to yesterday when I really saw the value. I would love for youto expound on your blogging history/feeling on your blog sometime if you ever feel the desire. :)
I have been thinking of deleting my blog...not sure why I'm blogging or if folks are reading...then, I've been thinking about security issues...
I, too, was thinking of changing my blog's name - to Long Days and Fast Years....
What do you think?
Maria,
Selfishly, I hope you don't stop blogging. Yours is one I truly do read daily and look forward to as a little sunshine in my life, even when you are on serious topics.
I understand about security. I have worried about that, too.
I love the new name, but love the current one too! Do like me and change it on a whim and then change again! lol
